Palatka Memory Care for Your Loved One! Memory Care with personal care! Live effortlessly at Vintage Care of Palatka.
A Specially Designed Memory Care Community
Vintage Care of Palatka residents with memory-related illnesses, such as Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, feel secure in our specially designed memory care community.
A private, secure outdoor courtyard is filled with beautiful gardens and planters for the residents to enjoy and use.
The Resident Life Coordinator
Our Resident Life Coordinator gets to personally know each of our residents. This includes personal history, previous and current interests, and their abilities. Our coordinator then works with our specially trained staff to create an individualized wellness program that provides not only intellectual stimulation but also gives opportunities to reminisce about past careers, relationships, and family life.
Common Areas Designed for the Residents.
Our common areas have been designed to implement the programs suggested by the RLC. Vintage Care of Palatka has special common area rooms designed for residents to “putter”—an activity to help stimulate the brain, bringing back those past career and family life memories.
For example, a gentleman who worked as an engineer might enjoy putting things together and taking them apart again. We will provide an area for him to fasten buckles and locks so he can continue to use his hands. A lady who has spent her life keeping an impeccable home might enjoy re-arranging and organizing our wardrobe full of linens and towels.
